Artist in residencE

Rooted’s Artist in Residence program came into fruition after Rooted CEO, Bruce Waight, saw a need to support local artists of color. Artists in the program were invited to display and sell their artwork through a solo exhibit free of charge and while keeping 100% of any sales. With an average of 800 monthly clients visits from all walks of life, artists in the program were uniquely positioned to share their work in a highly visible, diverse community space while earning a profit. This program ran for 3 years and supported artists as not only creatives but as business owners through events, dozens of pieces sold, and relationship building.
